Sundays afterchurch was always the time that we ate at grandmas house or we would go out and get food, but this particular Sunday when we got to her house, she called me into the middle room that she always slept in and gave me an envelope with about 7 or 8 postcards in it. Well I opened it, looked around, and then she said "Marcus, look on the envelope". So, I did and there was my full name. Then, she proceeded to say "Do you want to know how long your name has been on that evelope". So of course I said yes ma'am, and she said "Every since you were two or three years old", and I was 18 then. She gave it to me to sketch the pictures for her, so evidently she saw that gift in me even at the age of 2 or 3. So I agree with Aunt Tine in her saying "those eagle eyes didn't miss anything", not even that. Grandma I miss you so much and I know you and your daughter-in-law (mom) are still togeher in heaven watching over the family. I LOVE YOU
I remember how Grandma and I used to sit at the kitchen table drinking that instant coffee of hers. We would talk and laugh and if I I got up from the table to get something, she would just hold out her empty dishes for me to take. Then she would say "I'm just lazy, ain't I" and she would start laughing!
I remember one Christmas day at grandma's house and she was passing out Christmas gifts to everyone like she normally does. This day she gave me a small envelope and inside it said "God is the answer to all your problems". I looked at Grandma and said how did you know. At that time I was going through some things that I didn't share with her, but she probably knew already. I just took the envelope and starting crying. So when I'm going through trials and tribulations, I always think back to that Christmas day. I will always keep this message.

There are so many memories of my special friend (My Mom). I remember one night I was sleeping in church during Bible Class, sitting on the front seat at that. I tried to be so careful, so noone would see me sleeping. But who could ever get by those eagle eyes of Mom? And all of a sudden, Mom said: "Wake up Tine" out in the church before everyone. I was so embarrassed. 'Til this day I remember how Mom embarrassed me. So I try very hard not to ever sleep in church. Though my eyes get pretty heavy at times. Mom and I did so many things together. I miss her so much!
